Natural gas falls on U.S. data
ENERGY . Canadian natural gas for March delivery fell after last week's withdrawal from U.S. inventories was lower than analysts' forecasts.
U.S. gas in underground storage fell 233 billion cubic feet, or 11 per cent, to 1.911 trillion in the week ended Feb. 11, the Energy Department reported. A withdrawal of 235 billion had been expected, according to the median of 28 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
"The market was a bit disappointed," said Cameron Horwitz, an analyst with Canaccord Genuity in Houston.
"It was probably the last big withdrawal of the season."
